What is Account-Ability?

Account-Ability is a software tool that helps school districts manage the finances of a multi-year, multi-fund building program. With robust planning tools and contract records, Account-Ability lets you manage the big picture while still covering the minutia. And with over twenty standard reports, you can communicate the status of any project or your whole program with just a few mouse clicks.

Why do I need Account-Ability?

If you’re pressed to make timely decisions that rely on different funding sources — what to build and when to build it — you need to know where every penny comes from. Account-Ability puts all the information you need in one place: the same numbers, available to all your decision-makers, all the time. It is multi-year, multi-fund and lets you plan cash flows out years ahead. It was built by school district people to cover the nuances of public works construction, contracting, and reporting the use of public funds.

How will Account-Ability save me time?

Account-Ability puts all of your data in one place. It assembles it all for you, keeps your data consistent and accessible to those who need it, and eliminates the need for multiple departments entering the same information multiple times (in different formats). We can generate an SAB 50-06 expenditures report in less than ten seconds (almost, we make you write the cover letter).

Is Account-Ability easy to use?

Yes.

It’s still accounting software, but it works the way you do, using your account codes and your workflows. The three days of training is more than most people need to successfully master both the planning and the execution side of Account-Ability. Managers will be developing and refining their plans — and making informed decisions — on day one.

Is my data secure?

At Colbi Technologies, we take the job of protecting your financial information very seriously. All communication between your computer and our servers is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the same encryption technology used by the world’s top banking institutions. Only the users you authorize have access to your data and you decide what level of access they have. Colbi Technologies also maintains regular, secure backups of your data (local and off-site).
