Best Practices Analysis and Reporting

Colbi Technologies, Inc. provides consulting services including a review of existing facilities related accounting practices in relationship to a best practices approach. The district may request discussion with staff regarding strategies and approaches for implementing change to current practice. Written reports are can be prepared with specific information regarding existing processes and best business practices. Colbi staff is also available to report to the Superintendent, Governing Board, or Oversight Committee upon request.

Pre-Audit Review Services

Colbi Technologies, Inc. provides pre-audit review services including the compilation of the audit documentation and verification of the Office of Public School Construction Audit Guide routine requirements. Services may also include a review and/or preparation of audit documentation and required back up materials.

Work Flow Analysis and Charting

Lettie Boggs is available to conduct half day workshops including the Facilities, Accounting, and Purchasing departments in a non-confrontational, interactive workshop that results in coordinated flow charts for the contracting and payment processes of the district. This workshop can assist districts by assuring that all participants in the process are aware of their role and the interactive nature of their role in relationship to the other members of the team. The workshop also includes a review of system efficiencies, redundancies, and appropriate oversight. Flow charts are provided by Colbi following the workshop.

OTHER SERVICES
 

Technical Consulting

 Assist in developing and customizing Account-Ability and other business applications such as human resources, accounting and financial management applications using various software development tools; develop client/server interfaces for business applications; integrate applications developed by others and assist in customizing applications.

  • Experience with client server, programming languages: i.e. C#, C++, Visual Basic versions 2.0 to 6.0, Visual Basic.NET, PICK, and Unix.  
  • Production support experience. 
  • Excellent knowledge of mainframe environments including COBOL CICS and JCL. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills while interfacing with peers, user communities and management.

 Project Management

Deliver projects on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project.

Our consultants manage the necessary resources, assemble project teams, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate project resources, and provide guidance and direction to project team members. They proactively manage risk, issues and scope throughout the project life-cycle, develop project schedules, establish measures and milestones, produce regulatory and management reports, track ongoing project progress and establish a project office as required.
