When Lettie Boggs and Larry Goshorn were building schools twenty years ago, they didn’t have the tools needed to manage the complex finances of a multi-year, multi-fund construction project. The tools didn’t exist. Lettie, with a background in accounting, created a series of linked spreadsheets and was teaching others how to manage their bond programs. Larry attended one of her workshops and combined these linked sheets into an automated workbook — and he writes a mean spreadsheet.

Lettie then reached out to Chuck Olsen, an entrepreneur in computer programming, and they formed our company in Chuck’s garage — a fitting start for any software company. They brought Larry on board and hired our ace programmer Javier Oseguera. Using the automated workbook as a model and based on Lettie’s & Larry’s experience we developed a full-fledged program management application — Account-Ability.

Account-Ability was a hit. As we grew, we moved out of the garage and developed more applications. Together with Quality Bidders, our system for prequalifying contractors, and COLBIDocs, our construction document control system, we help keep public agencies accountable and in control. We’re COLBI.
